1. Try to figure out what Truly makes you Happy and Act on it
What does it take to make your day from Okay to Fabulous? What would you do if you would have 1 extra hour besides the 24 hours? What makes your soul shine? Try to figure out what this is by analyzing your feelings, by meditating or by actually doing the things you love and try to decide what truly makes you smile from within. Know what makes you happy? Great! Now, schedule this activity in your calendar like you schedule your work meetings and manicure appointments and go have some fun.
2. Count your BlessingsWhat makes you a happier person is when you are being a thankful human being. Don’t compare your life with Hollywood stars, your neighbor or your archenemy. Be thankful for all the things you get to enjoy in life and for the special people you have in life that you get to call your
mom
and dad or best friends. Start your day by summing them up and end your day with it and this will surely encourage you to look at the bright side of life. It’s also a great ritual to teach your kids.
3. Use daily Affirmations
What’s an Affirmation? It is a positive statement that can help you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts and believes. When you repeat them often, and truly believe in them, you can start to make positive changes. Reprogram your thinking patterns so that over time, you truly begin to thing, feel, and act differently. An example of an affirmation that improves your mindset is:
All my problems have a solution.
I am a powerhouse; I am indestructible.
I am unique and worthy of respect from others. 4. Be in the MomentSee the world like a toddler does. Pay attention to small things and notice everything around you. Smile, don’t worry about things and focus on the now. Living in the moment takes practice, but when you learn how to live this way, you will lead a fuller life and appreciate the beauty in every activity every second of the day.
5. Celebrate LifeKeep celebrating those joyful milestones and holidays we have always loved. At a time when fewer and fewer things in our day seem normal, connecting for special occasions holds more significance than ever. Celebrate life to the fullest! Whether this is going to the
spa for a massage or beauty treatment, drinking a bottle of wine and glance at the sunset,
book a staycation, enjoying a movie night in your garden with your kids or surprising a loved one with a thoughtful gift. Put your phone to the side and be in the moment. Seize the day!
